Hi, everypony!
It has been a while since the last time we posted an event. But let’s change that, shal we?
June 21st is coming in and with it — Summer Sun Celebration, the time, when the sun is up high and all the ponies are outside playing and sunbathing, or just enjoying the beautiful weather (if the pegasi are wiling to cooperate, that is). It’s also time to let go of the school for a while and enjoy the summer time off to take a breather.
With that said, we’re happily announcing the Secret Holiday Pony: Summer Sun Celebration edition
Timeframe:
Today - June 2nd (23:59 EST): Opening participation submissions
What will you need to submit:
- Name of your blog. It helps us, if you’re submitting application from another blog (such as the admin blog or separate drawblog)
- Reference sheet: Now this one is optional, but mandatory, if you’re submitting an OC.
There are a few rules, of course:
- Original characters are, of course, welcome. As stated before, if you’re submitting an OC, please also provide the character’s sheet; Personality descriptors may also come handy with some artists.
- For a while now, this event is SFW, so please, do not submit a NSFW ref sheet or final product. (That includes gore and / or sexual themed artwork)
- If you were banned from this event for some reason (mostly due to not posting artwork within event timeframe); you won’t be able to participate. Sorry.
- Please do not submit more than 2 or 3 characters (CMC yay!) for the artist to draw. Be considerate. Don’t dump insane ammount of workload on unsuspecting artist. Please.
June 3rd: Organizing participation list
We’ll be shuffeling list, putting the ponies together (of course in completely random manner), marking and writing the names down, sending out everything… you know — Standard admin stuff thingies.
June 20th (23:59 EST): Final submission time. (17 days should be enough to draw all the ponies needed, don’t you think? :] )
June 21st: Artwork flood :]
We’re only accepting entries from pony drawblogs. You *MUST* draw ponies. Either you have an ask blog or not, it doesn’t matter; just as long as you have a pony draw blog.
No, I didn’t forget about this part, either — On June 3rd, we’ll be switching to picture-only submissions to submit your final picture (multiple submissions of fixed revisions are okay. We’ll just post the last one, if they’re uploaded before June 20th. Later submitted artwork will be published imediatelty). Keep in mind, that this is *secret* holiday pony event. The artwork should be uploaded only, and I do mean *ONLY* to this account, at least to the time when your picture is published in this account. If you ignore that, you will be banned from future events.
The dates stated above ARE final. But keep in mind, that we all deal with unforseen interruptions once in a while. If something came up and you’re unable to make / upload picture, let us know. We all had situations, where we weren’t able to go online for a while or our tablet got busted, and we’ll think of something. But, if it turns out to be a “Don’t want to”, you will be banned from future events.
